Group Names

One of the best moments for each tour is the creation of the group name. This is always unique and is decided upon by everyone. So far in 2022, 10 tours have already been completed and we have 4 more remaining. These are the group names below and how they came about their name:

Log Flume Appreciation

When a member of the group, let’s say she is called Emily, has a fascination with log flumes and is dubbed the Log Flume Queen, this plays a huge part in the group name. Plus thinking about it, the UK log flume game is very weak in comparison.

Meat Processing Coaster

Who was looking forward to a cloned coaster opening at Flamingo Land this year? As we know, there are many different copies of the ride Sik throughout the world but the strangest one has to be Meat Processing Coaster 2 found in Russia. That also became the base for the groups name. Nothing better was chosen!

Finger Marie

Do you know what Rich Tea Biscuits are called in Sweden? You do now! This was the backseat conversation of the Finger Marie’s as we returned after a day at Walibi Holland. This was a very strong bonding group who have just returned from a reunion at Energylandia.

Catfish

I love a good picture of the group, and this was obvious with the Catfish as one image, just so happened to look like the coolest character at Movie Park Germany… until the camera was spotted and the thumbs up appeared again!

Spin Snakes

It seems like the terrible name of Sik has had two influences in our groups as the first alternative tour was based on a throw away comment for a better name to the 10-inversion coaster, but no one else agreed and so we all became a revolving rattlesnake of puns!

Traffic Wasps

This tour started unluckier than the others as regularly we would get stuck in traffic for a longer period. Combined with the first tour the wasps started to come out and a lot of swearing because that helps and so we have the Traffic Wasps.

Teacups

This group loved the teacups. Sometimes names are just easy, and they just fit and that is what this was. The group didn’t miss one and I know what you want to know, what was the best? Toverland by a mile, it is like it was trying to snap you neck!

Le Nooom

The second alternative tour features a lot of French parks, which features a lot of French roads. After being in Germany throughout the Auto Bahns shouting “Neowm” at the cars speeding by, this changed to the ever so lightly French version of “Le Nooom!”

Double Fisters

When a member of the group mis-heard you and thought the word visitor was fister, day one photos on the coasters fast became holding a fist to the air with laughing until someone holds up two fists and then more giggling and double the fists!

Tuck ‘n’ Sniff

A night at the bar explaining tucking to another member of the group soon influenced the group name, “Tuck Off” Tucking Hell” and “Just don’t Give a Tuck” all the way until another member of the group was caught trying to smell someone else. Combined they are the Tuck ‘n’ Sniff’s.

We have 4 tours remaining in 2022 and 2023 dates soon to be announced, I look forward to seeing the further creativity of the guests and the new group names to follow. Make sure you are signed up to receive emails to be able to find out first when they are announced and more importantly, we go on-sale!
