A Strong Start to 2025!

The 2025 season is officially underway, and we have just completed our first three Benelux and Germany tours of the year! Filled with highlights including new coasters, and incredible people to share with.

 Mecalodon Launches at Walibi Belgium

Just two days before our first tour departure, we received incredible news: Walibi Belgium would be debuting their brand-new Gerstlauer multi-launch coaster, Mecalodon, right in time for the new season. This new addition instantly became a fan favourite, delivering launches and airtime in a surprisingly forceful family coaster that’s a perfect fit for the park.

As always, starting a tour at Walibi Belgium sets the tone, kicking off with a ride on Kondaa. Now, with Mecalodon joining the line-up, this park has only solidified its status as one of Europe’s must-visit theme parks. Check out our full Mecalodon ride review

YOY opens at Walibi Holland

Next up was Walibi Holland, debuting the highly anticipated YOY – a pair of RMC single-rail coasters with a unique duelling twist. Riders could choose between Chill, the more relaxed side, and Thrill, the slightly more intense experience.

While YOY was a fun novelty, many in the group still preferred classics like Untamed, Lost Gravity, and Goliath however these were great filler coasters in a park that is already stacked.

Three Tours, Three Unique Group Names…

Tour 1 – Fotooooos!

Tour 2 – Surprise Bags

Tour 3 – Sliding Doors

Fotooooos scored an extra day at Efteling, heading back after Movie Park Germany to get on Danse Macabre after it was closed on our initial visit. As always it did not disappoint! We love this new ride so much and it has instantly become one of our favourites in Europe so we are so happy to return with the group who also loved the experience!

Surprise Bags had a strangely excellent day at Movie Park Germany, with lapping Dora the Explorer Log Flume multiple times and getting absolutely drenched to actually buying a surprise bag just because, mystery sells!

Sliding Doors Saw Will get his 400 coaster credit at Toverland and of course celebrated by purchasing a track piece in the gift shop afterwards. Will has done a tour previously where he purchased a Ride to Happiness wheel so this was not surprising. At the end of the day, the struggle to shut the Sliding Door in the back of the van when leaving meant the vehicle was beeping until we could slow down enough to get it closed.

From front-row rides on Taron at Phantasialand, to flying through Rookburgh on F.L.Y., and wrapping things up with The Ride to Happiness at Plopsaland De Panne, each trip delivered some of the best coasters in the world!

A huge thank you to Dean, David, Lucy, Gareth, Jamie, Mike, Yavanna, Adam, Callum, Michael, Anita, Rob, Pamela, Patrick, Andrew, Will, Pierce, Daniel, Jamie, Phoebe, and Sa – you made these first three tours unforgettable. We can’t wait to ride with you again!

Stay tuned for 2026 tours to be announced soon with more places than ever before!
