2025 Group Names

One of the highlights of every Coaster Breaks tour is the group name that naturally develops along the way. Sometimes it’s sparked by a single moment, a joke, or an unexpected event; other times it takes a little longer for the perfect name to emerge.

These are the 2025 Coaster Breaks group names, each with its own story and exactly how they were born during our tours.

Coaster Breaks

A bit of a cheat for the first group name, but a very fitting one to kick things off.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach Opening Day marks the official start of the 2025 season and a huge 64 returning Coaster Breaks members came together for an unforgettable weekend. Kicking things off on the Friday night with drinks at the Velvet Coaster, and the day of course featuring at epic Valhalla takeover!

Fotooooos

Day 1 at Walibi Belgium while riding Calamity Mine, we heard a random stranger shouting PHOTO just moments before the on-ride was taken. The group shouted back through the train, and now this continued throughout the whole week, every time someone spots the camera on a coaster.

Tour: Benelux & Germany

Surprise Bags

Many parks operated by Parques Reunidos such as Movie Park Germany, have started selling surprise bags, and we couldn’t resist finding out what was inside. Curiosity got the better of us, and Rob saved the day by buying one and letting everyone see what treasures were hidden inside.

Tour: Benelux & Germany

Sliding Doors

When leaving the park, the group forgot to properly close the van’s sliding door. It took multiple attempts, all the way to the Autobahn to finally get it shut, causing plenty of confusion along the way.

Tour: Benelux & Germany

Goats Zero

We have a saying that when you complete every roller coaster in a park, you’ve “park zeroed” it by ticking everything off the list. This group, however, was far more focused on making sure every goat had been spotted aiming to “Goats Zero” each day.

Tour: France & Germany

Delicious Grannies

New for 2025 at Six Flags Great Adventure is Grannies, not quite a Kingda Ka replacement! This new restaurant takes inspiration from the Cedar Fair side of the chain, and the food was genuinely delicious, hence the strangely fetish sounding name of the group. Don’t do a Dennis!

Tour: USA East Coast

Wrath of Rick Astley

New for 2025 at Six Flags Great America is Wrath of Rakshasa, the park’s latest B&M Dive Coaster, and let’s be honest, the name is… not great. Hardly anyone could pronounce it correctly, and even online reports were getting it wrong.

So, naturally, the group gave it a new nickname, Wrath of Rick Astley, and that’s the name that stuck with us for the rest of the trip.

Tour: USA Central

Wodan Clan

The Wodan Clan returned after previously completing a Winter Tour together. Sadly, following the passing of original member Megan, this trip was designed around a visit to Phantasialand, where the group rode her number one coaster, F.L.Y., on what would have been her birthday.

The name Wodan Clan is a blend of Wodan – Timbur coaster at Europa-Park and the Wu-Tang Clan.

Tour: Benelux & Germany

Ice Cream Gods

That magical moment when you check into a hotel and the receptionist says, “We have FREE ice cream!” All night long we were eating Ice Cream and some even had it for breakfast!

Mixed with the group’s love for the ride Solguden at Djurs Sommerland, which translates to The Sun God, the name Ice Cream Gods was born.

Tour: Scandinavia & Germany

I Karnan Find My Pizza

That moment when your pizza never turns up at the hotel after a long day at Hansa-Park. Cue the inevitable puns and the group name.

Tour: Scandinavia & Germany

Chupa Chups

During the first test run tour of France & Italy, there were so many Chupa Chups and the suck off competitions seeing who can finish first.

Tour: France & Italy

We’re Just Here for the Pre-Show

A brand-new pre-show was added to the swing rides at Tripsdrill, and honestly… no one saw it coming. From that moment on, the joke was that we were only there for the pre-shows, but nothing came close to DJing sheep!

Tour: France & Germany

Guinea Pig Bridge

Throughout the entire inaugural Japan tour, the group couldn’t stop singing about the Guinea Pig Bridge. Utilising the very latest in guinea pig bridge technology, it helps guinea pigs get safely from point A to point B.

You may just have to watch the video to fully understand this one!

Tour: Japan

Tequila Smurfies

Combining the ongoing song of the week, Tequila, with the sheer number of Smurfs spotted and talked about randomly from the moment guests arrived in Belgium.

Tour: Benelux & Germany

4+ and Rough

For one member, if a coaster didn’t feature at least 4 positive G-forces and a healthy dose of roughness, it was guaranteed to rank low. So, for every ride, let’s hope its 4+ and rough.

Tour: France & Germany

Hard Work, Soft Brains

A spooky tour, and as lovely as the group was, this name was very hard work to get to, the group however, was definitely not hard work though!

Tour: Benelux & Germany

Lap-Danse to Happiness

No, this isn’t an attraction at a gentleman’s club, despite what the name might suggest. Instead, it describes the joy of repeatedly lapping two of the very best rides on a Winter Tour: Ride to Happiness at Plopsaland and Danse Macabre at Efteling.

Tour: Winter Tour

Mango Macabre’s

People really do love Danse Macabre, and for good reason. By combining the ride’s name with the catchy pop song “Mango Mango” by Dutch group K3, which plays across the Plopsa Parks, the crossover name Mango Macabre’s was born for this Winter Tour.

Tour: Winter Tour

Artificial Snow

This was easily the snowiest tour we’ve ever run at Coaster Breaks, with parks looking magical under thick white blankets. Efteling just wouldn’t stop snowing, riding Baron in the middle of a full snowstorm became a genuine bucket-list moment for the group.

When someone online even suggested the scenes looked AI-generated, the group couldn’t stop laughing and Artificial Snow was adopted as the perfect group name.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined a Coaster Breaks tour in 2025. These trips simply wouldn’t be the same without the amazing people who make each group so special.

With 2026 already shaping up to be even bigger, we can’t wait for more tours, more unforgettable moments and naturally, even more group names along the way.
